To create, as a community, a comprehensive set of software, hardware designs and tools to enable great ideas and great businesses to thrive on XMOS technology.
The XCore Open Source Project on GitHub is officially sponsored by XMOS as a true open-source project. A number of the community members are paid members of XMOS staff, while many others are simply excellent volunteers who are interested in building quality stuff. To learn more about XMOS intentions regarding this open source project, read here.
The XCore open source project consists of software (components, applications etc), hardware (board and kit designs etc) and tools. It is a true open-source project under hardware and software derivatives of the The University of Illinois/NCSA Open Source License. The license ensures that it is easy to use this code in all projects (commercial and non-commercial) easily.
If you want to contribute to the repositories
Make sure you also:
...we are here to nurture great designs, and a happy developer is a productive developer - despite the online nature of the XCore open source project and the human contact abstraction that results from that fact, it is important to realize that there are real people at the end of all contributions and/or discussions. Treat all other community members as you would expect to be treated. Review the contribution, not the contributor; don't annoy others, and don't become easily annoyed yourself.
